Areola tattoos are preserved for men and women suffering from cancer, surgical scars, and trauma survivors. The first step to reconstruction is a consultation to ascertain the type of scarring is present, followed by a predraw, color selection and then we can proceed with treatment. Mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgeries often leave many clients feeling incomplete, but we have advanced in the application of areola color, size, and blending to give the most realistic nipple in California.

Our 3D nipple and areola reconstructions offer the illusion of a projected nipple without nipple reconstruction. When treatment is finished you will be able to stand in a mirror and see what was once lost. A full reconstruction includes the areola color, size and nipple type. For bilateral reconstructions a pre-mastectomy photograph can be used to match the color. Custom mapping is also available to select the perfect shape, color, and size. A complementary scar reducing therapeutic treatment is available along with radiation marker camouflage. An aftercare kit is given with each treatment to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE PROCESS?

Areola repigmentation is also called 3D nipple tattooing, areola tattooing, or nipple tattooing which creates a three dimensional areola and nipple created with a magnum needle. The painless procedure is split into two sessions in order to give the skin time to heal. Many breast cancer and trauma survivors use this service to reclaim their confidence after surgery. The procedure will be performed by an experienced tattoo artist that uses tattoo pigments specifically made for this area of the body.

We will guide you through the entire process to ensure you understand your healing stages, and we will color match the ink to your skin tone, and choose an appropriate areola and nipple size. Variables such as your scar pattern, thickness, placement, and medical history will determine healed results and post care. The touch up appointment will be six weeks later to ensure the areola tattoo heals with a stable color, detail, and saturation.
